Symptoms of Sick Dog Behaviors and Eratic Actions

Sometimes it will worry you when you know there is something wrong with your dog but you don’t know what. Maybe he’s just not acting the way he used too. Maybe he/she seems to be in a constant state of depression lately and he’s just moping around the house always seeming uneasy, uncomfortable and seems to lack enthusiasm to the point where you stop and say to yourself “O.K., something’s not right.”

You need to look for symptoms of sick dog behavior. Symptoms of sick dog behavior can come in variety of different forms. From emotional behavior to the physical side effects that it can sometimes create when your dog seems uneasy for a long period of time and you’re not sure what to do about it.

First, gently feel his/her nose. If it’s dry, warm it tells you that maybe your buddy isn’t feeling up to par. He may be moving slowly with a sad look on his face. It may be the processed food that he eats or you may need to go out and take a walk with him/her a little more often than usual.

Unusual behavior is another one of the sympyoms of sick dog behavior. Is he more protective of you lately or his/her stuffed animal toys? Does he growl more often at people who walk in the house? Is he laying around in a deep sleep one night then the next night suffering from insomnia type symptoms? This may be from changes in her environment. Dogs are very sensitive to what is going on around them. If theres any extra stress in the household or somebody or another animal isn’t around anymore, then the dog will pick up on that and start to experience symptoms of sick dog behavior.

When looking for symptoms of sick dog behavior also be on the lookout for extreme weight gain or weight loss. This can sometimes happen when there given medication from the vet and there body reacts to the pills. Be sure tp keep the lines of verbal communication open with your vet when you experience these symptoms of sick dog behavior.

So make sure you see the signs, gently feel his/her nose, look for signs of any unusual behavior, check you dog for sudden weight loss or weight gain. Follow all of these rules and I’m sure you’ll have a family pet that will remain happy, loving and healthy for years to come.
