How To Easily Solve & Prevent Dog Behaviour Issues and Problems
We love our favourite friend and hopefully he/she will love us back, but what if the dog’s behaviour is not exactly as we think it should be? Do we simply give up on him/her, tie him/her up in the back garden and put the whole behavioural issue down to being the dog’s temperament while saying that he/she will have to remain a yard dog unless he/she starts behaving like a normal dog.
Rarely would anyone accept this kind of situation or give up on the dog in this way, but bad dog behaviour is certainly unacceptable and can be potentially dangerous…
Is a Behaviour Specialist necessary or can Proper Dog Training be the Answer?
As we know, our dog is and should be thought of as a valued family member, having said that if one of our children suddenly started going off of the rails or acting a bit weird we certainly wouldn’t just try to dismiss the issues by pushing them under the carpet and pretending they were not really happening.
Because our child is a key member of our family unit and has their entire life ahead of them we would confront the issues head on and endeavour to resolve them without any thought for what obstacle stood in the way or hoops we needed to jump through to do it.
Our pet should be thought of no differently, if indeed he/she is then perhaps we should rather be questioning exactly why we do have him/her, after all why would we go to the lengths involved to buy something that needs so much attention that can live for a good ten to fourteen years or beyond if we were not sure we would do what it took to take care of and protect them.
What action should we be taking?
In the case of our pet a dog behaviour specialist could be the answer, but obviously not everyone’s budget would stretch to that. Besides it would be a minority of dog behavioural issues in this day and age that would warrant a one on one diagnosis as the resolution.
That said the alternatives can be watered down to state that the pet certainly needs some form or therapy or dog training. Again dog training classes can prove beyond some people’s budget.
There are various forms of gaining animal behavioural information in this day and age, you can even phone help-lines that can deal specifically with detailed information to help your dog through his/her problem.
On top of that are Books, Video’s, DVD’s, Audio CD’s, as well as Informational CD’s. The list goes on and on, but wherever you get information to help with dog training be sure it is has been used by others and given results.
Dog training should be thought of in a similar light to advising and guiding our children as they grow up. Give them the wrong information and who knows how they will turn out, but guide and steer them correctly and they will make you a proud parent.
A dog’s behaviour should be approached in exactly the same way. A dog behaviour specialist should really be a last resort…

Clive Anderson started using the Internet in 2005 as a means of gaining knowledge on various subjects in order to gain a better understanding that would enable him to express and demonstrate more clearly information that could help others as well as be of some substance.
Having had no previous Internet knowledge and a very limited computer ability meant improving online skills was paramount. This also meant achieving the goals that he had set himself was going to be a very real challenge, but one that was accepted as a necessity if the objective was to be conquered.
Like so many others he has faced many trials and tribulations both on and offline in order to reach the point that he is at today.
Writing has become a bit of a two pronged sword to coin a phrase. At one end is the reward that comes from being able to offer beneficial assistance, information, expertise, discoveries, and experiences through the expression of writing.
Added to that the overall enjoyment, fulfilment and sense of achievement that can be found in writing the articles.
One thing that has become crystal clear is the fact that you can only achieve good things in life by first helping others overcome their own restrictions, obstacles, and hurdles.
Don’t let the fear of the time it will take to accomplish something stand in the way of your doing it. The time will pass anyway; so we might just as well put that passing time to the best possible use.
